# Request with this Idempotency-Key still in progress

A request with the same Idempotency-Key is still being processed. Retry later.

**Status 409** · `IDEMPOTENCY_IN_PROGRESS`

## Typical cause

A second call with the same `Idempotency-Key` arrived while the first was still running, for example after a timeout that was too short.

## Way out

Wait briefly and retry with the same key and the same body. Once the first one is done, its answer comes back as a replay.
