# Idempotency-Key used with a different payload

This Idempotency-Key has already been used with a different payload.

**Status 422** · `IDEMPOTENCY_PAYLOAD_MISMATCH`

## Typical cause

The client creates the key once per session instead of once per operation and sends it with a different body.

## Way out

Create a new key for every new operation. For a retry, send the same key with exactly the same body.
