# Too many requests

The limit of this credential has been reached. Resend after the wait time from Retry-After.

**Status 429** · `RATE_LIMITED`

## Typical cause

The client sends more calls than a level allows: key, writes, concurrency, principal, organization, deletes or data outflow.

## Way out

Wait as long as `Retry-After` says, then retry. Whoever keeps firing gets locked for 5 minutes.
